First Day

Day 1: Left home and hit the road !!! a bit later than we wanted, should have gone Monday. but it is earlier than August the 2nd as we planned.

Drove all the way to York, I know just down the road. but it is in the country and away from Perth. It was a good try out for the Pajero as we went up Greenmount Hill without any fuss and through the Darling Range again without any fuss. For those who know about the issue with the the temperature gauge, The new one works now, it was not working before because the temperature did not get above 40C.

We got to York about 2:00 and booked into York Caravan Park, nice site. We set up the Van and re-organised the inside, went to town for a little look see and found the car museum closed. Decided to go for a run, Maureen took her bike. May not have been the best of decisions as it was a bit dark, but hey, you knw us adrenalin junkies, living life on the edge YOLO. The track was really for walkers but we speed freaks made it.

Got back to the park in pitch black. The TA set about organising dinner whilst I poured the wine and kept her amused with witty talk and jokes.

Finishing Tea and writting this page. Tommorrow we are planning on visiting the car museum then packing up and heading off to, well not really sure yet, Navigator has not checked the nap yet, slack really as we have eaten tea and she only has to do the dishes and cleanup kitchen area, thought she would have done it earlier!!!
