Day 42 – 80 Mile Beach
Another day in paradise. We did not do much at all. Maureen
got up and about early as usual but that th
wheelers coming in, they are huge, they pull out sides flip down backs that
turn into verandas, absolutely amazing.

was about it for the day until after
lunch when we got Trude on the beach for a run. Trude does a good job of the
beach and we went north for about 5kms before we turned around and came back.
The beach just goes on and on and on. The tide came in at 1 before starting to
go out. There were not so many fisherman there today which might be to do with
the late tidal movement or that it was a bit of a turnover day with a lot
leaving and others arriving. I still cannot get over the size of some of the 5
On the way back was washed some of the dust off Trude when
we gave her a bath. There is a big washdown area just off the beach so we
removed thee salt and the red dust. We wwaited around camp for a while and went
down to the beach to watch the sun go down. Maureen wandered way off down the
beach and I kept the Beast company until the sun disappeared and Maureen
returned so we went home for dinner.

Tomorrow we move on to Barn Hill for a few days so we may be
off air for a while again. The network here has been iffy so I suspect it will
be non-existent in Barn Hill.
