Day 80 Darwin
I promise that tomorrow I will have some stuff to put up on
the blog. Today was an odd job day. We went out to Palmerston. Maureen wanted a
haircut and I needed a massage. I booked in and Maureen thought she would wing
it out there. I was unaware how sore I was. Poor girl must have thought I was a
wimp, everywhere she touched hurt, but at the end it was great. Still think I need
a few more. Maureen was not so lucky, the hairdresser she saw there did not
take her fancy, so she did not get her hair done. We headed back to Girt and
had a quick rest in the air con with Maureen reading the paper. From this we
got the idea to go see a movie – About Time. Great little flick from the same
people as Love actually and Notting Hill – real chick flick, but well done as
only the poms can do.
Whilst we were sitting about, we also booked some tours. Tomorrow
we go on a guided tour of Darwin during WW II and on Monday we go on a guided Heritage
walk through town. They are going to modify it so I can get to places on the
gopher. So both of these have photo opps galore, so be ready.
