Day 17 – Exmouth
Not a lot to report today. Trude was still in the doctors so
we went into town for a coffee after a late start. This was possibly the most
exciting and busiest part of the day. We meandered over to the Post Office to
pick up our parcels that Tia had sent up to us. We picked up our masks, letters
and bits and went back to Girt. We then sat around the caravan all afternoon
until Mal the Mechanic rang at 4:30 to say Trude was back on her feet. So back
down to the Mechanic and picked up Trude. $800 later and the information that
there was possibly a small oil leak (they always find something) to keep an eye
on it and away we went for a quick drive around town and back to re-unite Girt
and Trude!
We bumped into Ann who we had met first at Newman then
Karijini then Tom Price. We ended up having dinner together and spent a great
evening together. A great end to relaxing day. Tomorrow I have to get up early
to drop Trude off to get a pacemaker fitted to monitor her temperature. After
that we intend to pack a picnic and head off along the cape to Yardy Creek,
might even take a few pictures.
