Day 30 Cleaverville

Well what a great day, we, by that I mean me, did nothing.
Last night we were lying in bed and listening to the silence, or as they say,
the serenity. It was perfect. There were no sounds at all except the lapping of
the water on the beach and it really was just lapping, no breeze, nothing. Absolutely
perfect. We got up this morning, same thing, no wind as predicted, still as. We
had shade on the van and we sat outside in the
shade and watched the water
whilst we had breakfast. After breakfast we shifted our chairs a bit and sat
and watched the bay. Maureen had hoped to see some whales, so we had tp keep
scanning the water. We did succeed in a way when we say a small pod of dolphins
swim by, but no big whales.
Maureen got up and got the bits and pieces for lunch so we
shifted our chairs a couple of feet and watched the bay whilst we had lunch. We
took the dishes inside and exhausted from all this activity,

we collapsed back
into our chairs and watched the water until it was afternoon tea time when we
boiled our kettle (Thanks again Marg) and watched the water whilst we drank our
tea. Well this slaving went on until about 4:30 when Maureen had a burst of
energy and wanted to go for a walk. She set off on her trek and I got out of my
chair and started the generator up. Maureen's present works very well, We only want to run it to charge up things
like this laptop, our Tablet, the hotspot and a bit into the battery, hence I am
doing this blog early.

Maureen returned after an hour with wild stories of hiking
up mountain goat tracks and lookouts and spectacular views, all backed up with
umpteen thousand pictures, as you can tell from the pictures here. It turns out
we are on bit of an Isthmus, point. In front of us is a bay area with an island
to the north. Also to the north is a river inlet with mangroves that comes
around behind us to the east and there is a lovely salt plain to the south east
of us. All are visible in the pictures as well as

some more Sturt Peas with the
lighter centres, so we now have 2 of the 4 different types of Sturt Peas
according to the inter webs. Maureen is definitely missing her trekking partner
Karen.
That is really about it for today. Maureen has gone down for
another walk on the beach. All this time spent thinking today, we realised that
our Spinifex Pigeon has not appeared and Maureen
suddenly realised why. When we
were packing up at Dampier, he ried to sneak in to the van and Maureen said he
could not come but we would be at Millstream. So we think there is a very
confused pigeon at Millstream wondering where we are!
